WHAT IS CHIROPRACTIC?
Chiropractic is a Primary Health Care Profession concerned with the diagnosis, treatment and prevention of mechanical disorders of the muscles and skeletal system, and how these disorders affect your nervous system and general health. Care is provided through a variety of manual techniques and together with recommendations regarding lifestyle and active self-care.

Here at Marlborough Chiropractic Clinic all our Chiropractors are registered and regulated by the General Chiropractic Council. We offer a variety of care techniques that are tailored to your needs. These include chiropractic manipulation, mobilisations, soft tissue work and advice to help you manage your conditions and feel your best.
CHIROPRACTIC MANIPULATION
This is a safe, fast thrust movement applied by the Chiropractor to a specific joint to improve its range of motion and function.
MOBILISATIONS
Mobilisation techniques can also be applied throughout the skeletal joints. They are slow repetitive motions which are applied to specific joints to help improve joint function.
DRY NEEDLING
Dry needling is the insertion of a needle into soft tissue to stimulate inflammation and a healing response. This helps to relieve pain and improve function in the area.
SOFT TISSUE WORK
We use multiple soft tissue techniques including massage, fascial release and various methods of stretching. These techniques help to relieve stiffness, improve blood circulation and therefore improve movement.
EXERCISE
Exercise plans are prescribed alongside manual techniques for musculoskeletal conditions to correct muscular imbalance and improve function. Exercise plans are tailored to the patient to help achieve individual goals as part of their care.
