WHAT IS CHIROPRACTIC?
Chiropractic is a Primary Health Care Profession concerned with the diagnosis, treatment and prevention of mechanical disorders of the muscles and skeletal system, and how these disorders affect your nervous system and general health. Care is provided through a variety of manual techniques together with recommendations regarding lifestyle and active self-care. Click here to find out about techniques used by our chiropractors.
Our goal at Marlborough Chiropractic Clinic is to coach and support our patients to make long lasting changes to promote their wellness health and potential, and get them back to doing what is important to them!
WHAT TO EXPECT AT MY FIRST VISIT?
During your first visit we will go through a detailed history of your condition, followed by questions about your medical history. This allows us to begin to build a clinical picture of your state of health and factors that may affect the results of treatment.

After this the Chiropractor will perform a physical examination assessing joint motion, soft tissue reaction and nerve function. The Chiropractor will assess the area of complaint, but may also look at other areas of your body that may contribute to your problem. You will be asked to undress to your underwear and offered a gown to wear but if you feel uncomfortable undressing, please wear flexible gym-style clothing so that we can still assess range of movements of specific joints.

Before treatment the Chiropractor will explain their findings and your diagnosis. They will also explain the recommended treatment plan along with the benefits and risks associated with care. If they believe chiropractic care is not appropriate for you, they may suggest a referral to your GP or another health professional.

If you are happy to proceed, treatment can start at the first visit. Please contact us if you have any questions regarding your first visit.

A Sad Departure
As of 29th November, Tom will unfortunately be leaving the clinic and relocating due to personal circumstances. I know he will be missed by all the team and his patients, and we wish him all the best in the future. From December, Sophie will be absorbing Tom's patients for their continued care.
